Erica Shelton started with Shelton & Steele as an intern in 2014. A true daughter of the family business, she has worked through various roles from making 100 cold calls a day, and developing firm marketing strategies, to training and overseeing all oncoming recruiters.

As Lead Executive Recruiter, Erica specializes in the lateral acquisition of executive legal professionals and partners with portable books of business to progressive niche clients. Her services include strategic targeting, research, data acquisition, industry analysis, screening, vetting, recommendations & strategic planning, and serving as a liaison to all parties. She is also responsible for all training, development, and mentoring initiatives.

Erica is elemental in all talent acquisition, consulting programs, and innovation strategies. Ms. Shelton oversees the day-to-day tasks necessary for efficient productivity. To adapt to this everchanging work environment, Erica hosts "boss-less" meetings once a quarter to hear feedback without the CEO present; 40 % of Shelton & Steele's SOPs are employee-made.

Erica is an accomplished public speaker. She gave her first speech to a Toastmaster's club at the age of thirteen, joined the champion Green Valley Speech & Debate team her freshman year in high school, and became the University-Wide Public Speaking Champion at UNLV by her Junior year of college. She was the youngest Vice-President of Public Relations ever elected to the position at Henderson Toastmasters.

In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, public speaking, attending business and networking mixers, reading, and playing competitive tennis. A hospitality student at UNLV, Erica was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, mentioned on the UNLV website for her success hosting a business fundraiser for the NCCS, and has a taste for old-world wines. She plans on pursuing her Master's in Luxury Management & Guest Experience at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland.
