As Executive Vice President of Shelton & Steele, Mr. Dodd manages and mentors new and existing recruiters. Ayven identifies and researches, small, mid-sized, virtual law firms and hybrid virtual / brick & mortar law firms to determine whether they offer the truly exceptional platforms and support necessary, to qualify to be on the Shelton & Steele client roster (we currently have less than fifty clients, worldwide).
Ayven is also Shelton & Steele's Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. In this role, he ensures that our firm has both proper representation and the programs necessary to create an environment of inclusion.
Additionally, he monitors and documents the D&I representation within our clients so that Shelton & Steele works exclusively with those organizations whose efforts, reflect the Shelton & Steele culture and corporate philosophy.
Mr. Dodd started with Shelton & Steele in 2015. He has placed partners with a variety of firms, nationwide and has become Shelton & Steele’s most successful recruiter, earning his position as Executive Vice President of the firm.
Mr. Dodd specializes in the lateral recruitment and placement of law firm partners, counsel and associates, throughout the United States. His focus has been on working with virtual law firms and remote positions. He has assisted attorneys in a wide variety of practice areas, including Corporate, Intellectual Property, Health Care, Trust & Estates and Litigation.
Mr. Dodd leads the development and implementation of strategic talent acquisition tactics and leads the evaluation of recruiting functions, strategies, and procedures to ensure and optimize quality candidate placements.
In his spare time, Ayven enjoys weight-lifting, painting and giving speeches at Toastmasters International.
