The upstairs loft / office in our penthouse is a place of inspiration for me.
The upstairs loft / office in our penthouse is a place of inspiration for me.

I learn more in a typical morning, than most businesspeople do in a month.

I woke up before sunrise this morning. By 7:30am I learned the following:

·       I learned about The Pottery Class Experiment - massive action outperforms seeking excellence the first time.

·       Listened to a 15 minute AI generated summary of "Applied Artificial Intelligence: A Handbook for Business Leaders" (which has some great stuff but a lot of the content is out of date, because it was published way back in 2024)

·        Found five new books to have AI summarize for listening: "Thinking in Bets", "Mindset", “Your Next Five Moves”, “Anything You Want” and “$100M Dollar Offers”

·       Learned how to write articles and blog posts that will specifically attract AI search bots like Chat, Google Gemini etc. to our content (Yesterday I learned how to rewrite our entire site and publish deep web pages for AI searches - vs. Search Engine searches like Google, which will be all but irrelevant within a year or two)

I learn more in a typical morning, than most businesspeople do in a month. After that, I sat and just thought for 15 minutes (I have ADD so I unless I'm lying down and meditating,it's difficult for me to do more than 10 - 15 minutes of focused thought). Do you know how many people stop doing everything, and just sit and think for ANY period of time? Almost NO ONE! Most people just react. Don’t be most people.

After spending some time in deep thought , I got out my written goals (if your goals aren’t written, you are 97% LESS likely to achieve them) and revised them (again!).

My goals are categorized as follows: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Family & Friends, Financial, Community.

I just found out about a local charity that houses, clothes and feeds children who have cancer and are undergoing treatment. New Goal: Donate more to that charity, than I used to make in a year. Which of course, will require me to increase my financial goals – which is a great motivator!

Now it’s time for Action! I have four meetings scheduled today. I have about 20 phone calls to make – including training calls with the wonderful people who I am lucky to have working at our firm.

But I have another hour before I drop my lovely bride off at the club for her tennis match, so I can eat, do yoga, write this blog post, take a pic for it (instead of having one AI generated?!?! Yes. The sun is up and the view from my loft / office is beautiful right now!)

Consume more knowledge than anyone you know. Seriously, I’m a high-school dropout who used to eat out of garbage cans and everyone who pays for my counsel has at least two college degrees. Consume knowledge.

Stop and think. Don’t just react. Stop. Clear your mind. Then think. Amazing ideas come to you that way.

Act. It doesn’t matter how much you know or think, if you don’t take the actions that lead to success, you won’t be successful. It’s that simple.
